I have to politely disagree. Everyone has their style and themes they are attracted to. It was actually really tough coming up with this concept and I think it's original and a good one for the challenge. Also I'm just happy with the way it turned out! Thanks for your feedback though. |

Nearly everybody around here has a style they stick to, and most of their subs look very similar to each other (randyotter included) so there shouldn't be any hypocrisy.
Your stuff is amazing, dude, and i'd probably say that you are my favourite designer on threadless. |

re: randyotter's comments - ....yeh i can see similarities in igo2ciaro's style, but i think this works - and really design challenges are about designing to the brief with something that works. i think your style is actually evolving and becoming more solid and beautiful. It feels like this piece is more a coming-together of talent than a rehashing of old work.

Originally I wanted to put an explanation of my concept for this in the opening comment but somehow forgot to, so here it is rather belatedly: In this design I wanted to combine an old, vintage aesthetic with motifs from both the past and possible future. Innovation is a very broad term but to me brings to mind science, technology and great inventions that have shaped our world. The light bulb fruits are a visual metaphor to suggest the growth of new ideas that lead to innovation and the mechanical beetle and bird are a manifestations of this. |
