I don't know, I would like this more if I felt like there was some logic to the connections. What does a calculator have to do with spray paint?

I agree that some logic in connections would help. I also find the illustration style too childlike.

What logic!? They're just simple icons, the meaning is clear according to me... it shouldn't be so realistic with connections, just a series of objects that can be interpreted as innovation.
Childish illustration is better than mathematics. |

If you weren't trying to make clear connections between things then you shouldn't have added lines connecting everything. Also, there's a difference between childish and simplistic. If the illustrations were simplistic, the design would've been better. As it is, it is very much Fisher-Price.
