I appreciate your comments. The design relates to the theme of pop art in which the mundane elements of mass culture become part of the art. When I grew up in the 80's the old style ring pull was littered everywhere, now it is conspicuous by its absence, for me making it more mundane. The humble ring pull isn't something we think about any more, but it is still an integral part of day to day life. It also gives reference for the need for mass produced products to be greener and more recycleable, but that's not the primary idea behind the design. I understand that a lot of people wouldn't like,wear or pay $18 for this, but I think I have engaged with the design challenge's brief in an interesting way and hope I've done something that makes people think.
