Glad this is your original photograph that you manipulated. Works very well for the competition, and makes a super fun shirt - 5!

There's serious superness in this here design! Love the burst of color and abstract take on a very mundane object. Well done for the contest and beyond!

Fantastic, better than most of the hipster clever crap the threadless elite votes through. I hope you make it baby. $5. $5. $5. 2 g's in your pocket and $500 to spent on ironic T's.

Very good and an excellent submission for pop art. i like it better on the light colors, but have to disagree with those who say it looks bad on black. it just looks different - like a negative.
|
|
this should get you a print for sure! i love the colors and i'm putting my vote in for mint as well! :)
|
|
nice score, still underscored! but it think it's so great they'll print it regardless of the score ;)
good luck. |
About my design
I've always been fascinated by pop art photographs, sculptures, paintings, the colors, etc. The Pop Life exhibition begins with Andy Warhol's work and this submission is inspired by Warhol's "Knives" that was produced in the early 1980's. So, I decided to photograph and enhance straws - simple boring everyday objects. Why straws? Well, another inspiration...the spot paintings by Damien Hirst.
Simulated process technique on white, mint or black. Hope you guys like it!
