i never understood why lions are called king of the jungle? tigers are bigger and they don't even live in jungles. $5

to all who say its hard to read - it isnt really. you are to see the images first, then the text. ive tried a variety of fonts and letter patterns and this is the best for the design.

to everyone - thanks for the comments!

It's kind of strange to tell people who can't read your type that they're wrong and it's easily readable. It's really not readable, I've tried several times even knowing what it says. It's a very cool idea and the seamless pictures in the font is something special, but it needs to be done in a way that breaks up the words a bit better and doesn't mutate the look of a letter, such as the zebra's head in the first E and the elephant trunk coming out of the T in to. I realize the trunk breaking the letter's fourth wall is a cool trick, but it destroys any legibility of the typography. Good luck man!

i think part of the reason its hard to read (besides me breaking up the text a bit 'weird' and with animals) is because of the shirt mockup as well. on a flat white i find it pretty easy to read. btw, that link has an older version of this - i edited it slightly since to make it more legible.

when i said i wanted people to see the art first and then the words, i mean i want this to be abstract before being informational. it is to look cool, and then when you look long enough your like oh! welcome to the jungle! cool shirt!

in a different font like helvetica the design feels tired and boring. without the animals breaking the walls of the letters it doesnt have the same abstracted look that i was going for. i want the animals to burst out of the letters, not just be clipped to them.

btw, to all, i appreciate all comments, even those that say they cant read it. :)

Definitely an issue of legibility and readability in the type.

it looks really cool, but it's hard to read. with wearable art, i think it's best to not have to spend much effort to decipher the phrase. and it's probably easily visible to you since you designed it.

it's a cool idea... but it's DEFINITELY not a "quick" read... nice work regardless!

I like the feel of the animals on the letters, what about just cutting it back to read WELCOME all in one line, and put it in the shape of a welcome mat? The jungle part is implied by the animals. Just thinkin.

putting pictures into words isnt the most original idea ever, so its probably nothing to worry about. btw, i made this forever ago (im not sure if you are commenting because someone 'copied' me or i 'copied' them, and i use copy cause i cant think of a more suitable word)
