I think you've made a great start here. Love how you've rendered the bowl.
I'd seriously consider doing away with the window and the floor plane, because I think you can convey the concept without them, and they break up the shirt and distract from the round shapes of the turtle and the bowl. |

I would try placing the window differently. It just looks akward to me.

This is cute, but I fear what will happen to the turtle when he either falls off the table or out the window. Hmmm... just the price of freedom I suppose.

Made me laugh! Didn't think the bowl was needed, but then realised it's a turtle... maybe if it was a tortoise instead? Bit too big of a change though.
