I'd get rid of the space between the (base) and the '*', it looks like you are capturing and replacing one base and all it's trailing spaces. Although I'd make it: s/(bbaseb)*/us/ig but that's just me being an old Perl coder :o) |

Ok, so the comment system strips backslashes, and escapes '&' so I can't include backslashes at all. So replace &92; with backslashes at you'll see what I was trying to write :) |

paulleader: yeah the comment system has caught me out many many times! there actually isn't a 'space' before the '*' it's just the font and because it's blown up so much, probably should've photoshopp-ed it a bit to reduce the whitespace. lols yep, i get what you mean - the very much needed escape slashes! ...and go perl - hacky but so wonderfully powerful :D |

Since the ratio of guys to girls in the Comp Sci/Engineering/IT field is so skewed I would say this is too nerdy. You would end up with a lot of girls asking questions, followed by an immediate "wtf tard" look as they walk away...regardless of whether they know of the meme or not. I appreciate your effort to try something different though.

@albion2304 - yep seen heaps of geeky shirts that have awesome taglines in code form. wouldn't mind a couple for myself actually. @duracell - always happy to try something different and 'out there'. true that the ratio is rather skewed, but i don' t think that should prevent anyone from proclaiming their geekiness :D. (btw...i'm one of the few girls that you're talking about :P) |
