Yep, I know, you read it as Pie Hook Squared initially.

if you say the design doesn't work initially, it still doesn't work initially.

   Robsoul on Sep 26 '09
actually, I never said it doesn't work, I said you may simply read it as pie hook square, when it's code for pie arrr squared, which is code for pi r 2.

i think when when your designing something like this and it has a meaning you have to consider whether the majority of people seeing it are going to understand it.

i dont think much consideration went into the clarity of the message before you designed it.

I think mathimatically inclined people will look at it, get it and love it. If you don't then you'll move on and amazingly the world will keep turning! No need to pick apart how someone's thought process broke down when they were making a shirt. I can hardly handle fractions (seriously) but I think your shirt is hilarious. Kudos.

this is hilarious! and you're right... I did read it as "pie hook squared" first... but still - very clever!

clever, but I think an eyepatch would get a quicker registered notion of pirate... honestly, I was wondering why the hooks used to hang pots and such from ceilings were in it until the title.

Enough substance to get the message across without being overly complicated. I love it. I want it in gold foil now. Oh, and this is SO geeky :)

Hahaha! I'd love wearing this around so I could say "Arrr" every time someone asked about it. $5

I agree that the hook does not convey "arrr." I like the concept a lot though!

is this like a rock paper sissors game I've missed? Quite funny.. pies beats crook, n crook beats the square but how does a square beat a pie? hmm.. he eats it i guess? Then pizza would have been better, cuz that's the real geeks feed. 8)

pi r 2 is the formula used to calculate the area of a circle, but that's pretty funny, I guess it could be the new paper rock scissors.
