I don't think your side "contest" will influence the outcome of this contest, nor do I beleive that you are trying to buy votes or to influence the contest by "bribing" others. With that being said, I think Threadless should prohibit this type of side contest to avoid any appearance of conflict of interest that could undermine the integrity of the votings in the competition.

well, i can just assure you that i'm not trying to bribe others.
my only intention putting on those contests was to get attention for my design and i don't see how that'd influence the outcome...

As I stated earlier, I do NOT believe that you are attempting to buy votes or to influence the outcome of this contest, NOR do I think that the side contest could influence result of this contest. However, the side contest could create an APPEARANCE of conflict of interest.

I would like to offer you the following suggestion: you could bring the "GEEKS" attention to your your design by adding the following phrase below the illustration in your design: "The Famous Greeks (WITH A STRIKE ACROSS THE WORD GREEKS) Geeks!"

bengineer, don't worry about that comment. Many people do guess the score contests and other contests, and it is perfectly fine. By examining that person's profile (and the comment), it is clear they haven't quite found out how how the site works.
