I really like the concept behind this. But I think the text on the back is unnecessary-- it ruins the mystery and kind of forces itself on you. I'd rather wonder what it says and get little fragmented glimpses from the image. That's more appropriate for the subject than spelling it all out on the back, isn't it?
Also, you could have used a more interesting silhouette. I just don't think the generic clip-art style 50's girl really adds anything to it. Maybe a different girl, more realistic, doing something other than just standing there... because the girl isn't supposed to be a random generic person-- the "you" isn't just any girl, she's someone specific... if that's the case I think that it should come across in the illustration (maybe I'm misreading the text or interpreting it diferently from you, however).
i really like the front, but people are going to ask what is says and try to read it. *they waste time* then they'll notice the back and read that too. *wasting more time* i think it could just be left with the design on the front.
i think it needs the text on the back... just because its too much of a mysteryfor the people who see a person wearing this shirt.... I dont want someone trying to read the small font on the front of my shirt every day... just in case this happens
About my design
on crowded trains... and prop engine planes... i close my eyes and think of you.
where are you right now?
to spend today with... and play with. it is already written.
so i wait... ever patient. i close my eyes and think of you.
where are you right now?
