are there olives in gin and tonic? maybe make a martini? though you wouldn't have ice in that...

That was the tough sell. I wanted it to be a generic cocktail, but the gin 'n' titonic name worked only b/c it references the Titanic. Otherwise, it was not meant to imply a particular cocktail. Olives were the fruit most evocative of a classic cocktail for me, which is why I went with them over a lemon or lime twist/wedge.

Purists of any stripe will probably take umbrage, though.

holy crap! I was sketching something like this 4 weeks ago! Though you don't put olives in a gin and tonic, you use a wedge of lime at the very most.

agreed with Jaden, olives only go in a martini. Ditch the olives, put a lime wedge on the glass.

Thanks for the comments. Mixologists will tell you, despite tradition, olives can and are used in gin drinks, including gin martinis and gin 'n tonics.

However, just to save myself from certain doom, I have prepped two alternate versions of the shirt--one is with a martini glass, the other is in the same glass, but with a wedge of lime. Just in case.

I think regardless of the glass or choice of olives vs. limes, this is a very well executed design. I love it! you did a great job! $5
