Whoever starts the story names all the characters and continues the story as they wish.
I have named the hero character "Burr", but considering the pose, the child could be a boy or girl.
I must be from the old school of illustrators- Rackham, N.C. Wyeth, Tenniel, Shepard- when they illustrated scenes from books, there was usually a caption. It's easily removed.
And again, I wanted this to be more than a shirt. I can envision an adult seeing it and engaging the child in making up a story about it together.
I agree somewhat- it's just my quick hand lettering, but I wanted a spontaneous feel for it at the time. I probably would change it, but I don't think that's possible now. Thanks for the comment.
i love the artwork!..it kind of reminds me of a childrens book i had forgotten about untill i saw this..something about a king and a group of friends..one could turn into fire , one could turn into a snake, one into a hive of bees,....i can't remember the rest..but thank you for the memory.
