5$, awesome work. I can't tell you how many pet rabbits I had as a kid - they all died or ran away! So sad.

I adore the technique of the turtle melting into a blob of color underneath is fragile shell. Nice work and DEF something different outta you.

I had the same thing with dogs growing up - I think there were actually 3 or 4 of the "same" dog, since they kept "going to live on a farm". Cool new style from you.

My first pet was a bird, that I later found out was actually 3 birds because they kept dying because my mom wasn't the best caretaker (I was only 3 at the time). My second pet was a guinea pig, which died of a terminal illness that my brother's also had...that pet shop later went out of business for shady pet care and breeding practices. Then I brought a couple of my lizards to show and tell and left them at the school over night, the next morning they were dead because the janitor unplugged their heating pad.
Then there was my turtle. My friend the turtle, whom I never named, was a fun little guy, and he had a voracious appetite. One time we ran out of food and I kept asking my mom to pick up some turtle food on her way home from the pet store and she kept forgetting so we had to give him alternatives, which he wouldnt eat. Then one day my mom called me at school to give me a message about getting home late from work and I said the turtle really needed food...and she said...."not anymore"
You Know that expression on those weightloss infomercials "watch the fat melt away in days"? My turtle was apparently on that diet, and this piece is in honor of him.
