maybe if you actually vector-draw the character... the auto trace isn't too flaterring. Think the guitar is out of proportion too. The lower circle with the X doesn't ad to the idea, maybe I am looking for something that sort of tilts the whole symetry of the design (?) Caught my eye though, that counts for something ;-)

The back of his head looks a bit wonky, too.

This doesn't look auto-traced, and I think the grunginess is actually well done. But, I don't care for the X much because it doesn't really fit with the style of the rest of the illustration.

I hand draw all my vectors. I haven't used the auto trace in any vector program for years. I used to clip photos in the publishing industry.

I love the design. It is very nice like spanish rice. Mabye some beans, and hot sauce of course.

Like like like. I think the X is more noticeable on the "HIM" because it is white. If you change it to the dark purple color, it won't take the focus away from the rest of it.

this is obviously autotraces, all of your images are. if you're going to cut corners, don't lie about it.

Man, you people are harsh. I have never auto traced. I make my living as a Graphic Designer. Why would I lie? Oh well.

I like the original one on your web-site way better than this.
Don't make your good work something worse just in order to submit it here.

i completely agree- i checked out your site, was totally amazed, then felt let down when browsing your submissions. man, youve got some tricks up your sleeve, but they seem to be all photoshop-type... gradients, effects, that kind of what not... i'd love to see you experiment more in just illustrator, see what you can come out with.

I do all the graphics in illustrator first by tracing black and white photos. I just put the backgrounds and colors in with photoshop. All the graphics on the first page of my site are done in illustrator, I intended on developing them all later for use on t-shirts. I will be starting a t-shirt company in the fall and will probably do something with them then. I have also done some work for another clothing company, but I don't think I can say who that is here.

Thanks, sorry if you think the submissions here were second rate. I really didn't change all that much here. I just pulled my logo.
