It took a while to decide on this background color. It was a toss-up between this and purple. I also considered dark grey and maroon.

The model was a girl from Richmond who I have painted numerous times. This started off as a live painting demo, then I took it and made a vector illustration out of it.

This is what it looks like on white. I've also put it on a shirt with where I think it looks the best on. I also worked on the girl's face. Thanks for the critiques so far!

Interesting illo.

I like the birds just on their own, I think you'd have great design if you just worked with them. They have a real cool flowy look to them, and I love the bold orange. All the other elements are just kind of meh. I'd lose the overused splatter effects and curly lines, you don't need them.

Your girl illustration is really good, and I liked that you explained your inspiration, but I just don't see her as something I'd wear on a shirt. Maybe if she was more stylized, or you focused just on her face?

I'm not quite sure of the girl, maybe it's the dark circles around her eyes, or what she's doing there or the connection with the birds. maybe I'm dense today. nice composition and colors.
