...and from that enormous and magical book came a great interest in all things fairytale, fable, nursery rhyme or otherwise. But of all the stories I ever read Pinocchio is probably the one that best describes the journey of somebody's child to one's own self.
We start out as just something to be molded by our parents, and within only a short time in this world our childish pride leads us to break our parent's controlling strings and run off into the world. Naive and feeling invincible, we come to discover a world that is not as conquerable as we might have it. Through this we fall, we get hurt, stolen from and lied to -we make asses of ourselves- we get swallowed whole in a sea of despair, but if we make it through this early journey, we shed our foolish pride and feelings of invulnerability and learn what it means to truly be human.
This design is in honor of all that, and a throwback to the simple style of designs from Threadless's own "childhood."
