I love the feel of the drawing, but it took me forever to figure out what was going on in it -- the foot/rock/bird combo read as a figure at the end of the fox's leg, like he had a puppet on his foot. The bird was the head, the sole of his shoe an arm, the rock a big, poofy skirt. Brought to mind some kind of Braer Fox idea, which was throwing me off no end. A little judicious tonal modulation and it would read easier.
But like I said, I love the feel of the drawing - so soft, like illustrations from books I no longer recall, but bear the imprint of.... |
