Is this a 3KCM commentary? If so, WIN.

If not, still lovely surreal juxtaposition between whimsical nature imagery, and hard-hitting philosophical commentary. 4

Being that you've been collabing for awhile on this, it hit at just the right time.

Threadless, pull another 'strike while the iron is hot' and print this.

starving, hysterical.

I should be allowed to glue my poster, I should be allowed to think.

thanks, everyone.

this has been in the works for about a month, so the timing after 3KCM is coincidental.

for those who are unfamiliar with the original ginsberg poem (or who just haven't read it in awhile), you can read it online here.

the song "i should be allowed to think" by they might be giants also used these lyrics as a reference to the poem.

OutSTANDING! Beautiful work, and a "message" that's a conversation-starter and actually worth talking about...well done.

Don't want to beat anyone over the head with the message, but this is clever because the title of the poem is "HOWL."

pardon the ignorance - what is 3kcm?

I love the design. I would like it better if we could see the wolf's feet and not the ground.

3kcm is short for "three keyboard cat moon", a design that generated a lot of discussion last week.
sidepull
sidepull on Jul 24 '09
Yeah, I just noticed that on the front page. It's funny how quickly we are to place shorthand on things that have existed in the collective consciousness for such a short period. Could you provide a link to the discussion - I'm interested as to why that design would generate so much interest.

man, there were a lot of blogs about it. just search the blogs for "keyboard cat" or "3kcm".

I couldn't bring myself to vote on 3KDCM. I can't not vote on this. Excellent work, and superb precognitive abilities.

I hated the chunk of Howl I had to read in high school, but I really rather appreciate how clever this design is. Because unlike certain other shirts, it stands on its own. The quote just makes sense. The wolf could be lamenting that loss in his howl, or it could be commentary on the idea of madness leading him to howl at all. Which I'm sure probably touches on themes in the poem, but again, never wished to finish it after the pages upon pages of excerpt I read.
