This is terrific. I like the expression on the dragon. Not sure if he is compliant or hungry. But isn't that true of all dragons? Think I would have preferred the maiden to be white instead of "flesh" toned, but that 's just my vision. Love the humor.

It would be better in my opinion if not all of the claws/nails had been painted red already which would draw attention to the fact that she's painting them.

kdidj- I thought about leaving some claws unpainted, but I wanted her to just be finishing up with the painting as he was waking up and thinking to herself how much he was going to love what she had just done. :)

Also, this is nicely rendered and a really funny idea, although i'd like to see the dragon being a bit more shocked or dismayed at the nails being painted, maybe painting them multiple colors will make it stand out a bit more. also, the dragon seems a bit more detailed than the woman applying the nail color, but a really fun idea and i dig the drawing style. |

Thanks for the great comments! About the different texture for the dragon and the girl, I had the girl the same as the dragon, but she just didn't look right. Since she's really the focus of the design, I decided to break the "rules" of consistency and make her look as she is, so she would stand out a bit. I did make the claws like her, to try to spread that style around. It was a tough decision, because I knew I might get some negative feedback about the girl, but it just seemed to be the best option, considering my current abilities. With every submission, I learn more and more. :)
