 Here is one theory of how the mythical creatures got here. A fun alternative to the overly sweet story of the real Ark (that usually comes complete with a rainbow). Additional mythical creatures not shown (and there are hundreds) are hanging out in the belly of the boat (see eyes peeking out of portholes).

Thanks, everyone. The only problem with adding Noah is then you have a figure straight from the bible leading these mythical creatures to land which seems weird to me. I think with all their mythical powers, they are capable of steering the boat themselves, really.

Efunk2332: In looking around at all types of Centaurs I did see several blue ones. I know the brown is a lot more common, but the blue was interesting (and it's the color of the shirt, too)!

I've always wondered how 2 centaurs would reproduce. Same for the 2 mermaids, but rescuing them would be moot, wouldn't it? Excellent otherwise!

This is a fabulous concept - I can hear the story being played out as I lok at this image. My girls are always asking me about the difference between "real" characters and pretend ones in books - I could use this image as a fun way to talk about it with them.
