oh beautiful! I kinda wish it was another colour than lilac. the colour is so overused at the moment... aww but it's so nice, so who cares about the strike against the hype: I want it!!

And I know in the back of many minds there is the thought of bear designs being over done, and sadly this is timed kind of off. But I made the doodle for this design when I was working in Alaska last summer so bears were legitly on my brain, and crossing paths in my life, at the time |

mismonaut on Jun 24 '09 The yellow/orange/purple is a good color scheme, the image has a great sense of "folklore," and the tree silhouette/pawprint is great.
Were you referencing any story or folktale in particular, or just going with the general sense of them? Either way, this is a neat design, and I hope it prints. |

mismonaut, thank you for the positive critique. I was not referencing any story in particular it was merely an image that struck my mind while in Alaska. The ravens chasing are a reference to the powerful symbol they are in native Alaskan folklore, and the claw print carries that earthy ancient narrative as well. But mostly I liked the combination of such a powerful animal and a young girl, and the idea that they could have a relationship.

Only three more days! Keep the feedback coming, I'm interested in thoughts, I have not received very much constructive criticism. Not that I want to be torn apart. But I guess I am glad there have not been many "no more bears!" comments.
