homage to threadless.
Sweet!!! Love the crest....
Nice! Cool presentation as well.
I've seen a lot of shirts with threadless on them, but this is the first good one.
great work.. very nice concept
I'd but this Mofo!
i think this is the best threadless shirt ever.. and it seriously would work... 5
thanks for the comments so far guys. has anyone zoomed in on the crest on the guy? it's a little homage just for the community here.
yes but dont expect it to be printed just becuase it says threadless....its well done though.
this is awesome. i think this shirt works for both the community here and for those who have not heard of threadless at all. i'd be proud to wear this. this is just simply a great looking shirt. x5
Yes this is definately the first cool design with threadless on it i've seen.
it's be super extra cool if that could be real stitching.
this is really good. i would definitely buy this.
umm, can you explain why this look almost exact like the core design for the crest of canada? There is a few key differences but the characters, positioning and design is there (http://www.forces.org/evidence/images/crest.gif).
Looks to me like 'someone' redrew and editted it and put the word threadless over it. if that's true, i'd say this is a rip-and-a-half. hail canada?
good concept but i could make a better one by taking the american flag and writting america on it, it would make more sense. can you explain: crest/threadless?
amazing crest. I would epresent threadless with this shirt.
agree-- definitely the first nice design with "threadless" on it
--- shame about callmeMooCow's comment, i can definitely see how people might get upset about it
but this is so well-done, your skill is fantastic, that i'm not in the least upset about you using canada's crest as a guide-- you changed it around a lot, edited out many things... learning how to draw something has to start somewhere. i think you did a great job, the end result (your design) doesnt look like what you (might have probably) started with.
---also, threadless might be refering to the thread for machines like bolts and screws and plastic screw tops and things. but, yah this is supe anyway.
r* super. heh.
maybe change the........yeah right, it kicks ass!
im with call me a rip is a rip whether you like it or not
I really like this design. I don't like it on red, I'd definately buy this.
a lot of crests look the same, go check other ones out. there are some similaritys between those two crests but there are way to many diffrences to start screaming rip.
i saw the canadian crest link. the basic structure for most english and commonwealth crests all usually the same. before this link i have never seen the crest of canada before as i used a combination of various crests from the U.K. and australia(where i'm, from). it is more likely that canada under the british commonwealth adopted similar designs in their crests because of their english heritage. try looking through some english crests and you'll see what i mean. instead of just linking an image which is similar to most english crests. the main reference for the animals was actually from the duke of norfolk's crest. although in most crests an equine, a feline, or bird-like figure will appear. thanks for the comment anyway. i just wanted to make a good looking design for the people of threadless. (ps. zoom in on the shield detail, tell me if you've seen a crest like this before.)
callmeMooCow and someguy, you tools! if this was a rip, why doesn't the drawing style and all the flags, and flowers look all the same? you can tell this is actually drawn not just traced bitmapped. this is definitely a different design, it just has the feel of an old english crest probably because he wants to have an established community feel that threadless has. this shirt is great and i'd buy green. x5
id like to add that i love the red
Great, I especially love the little images in the crest the guy is wearing. Print the brown!
this shirt rocks !! i'd definately buy this in brown, red or green! they all look great!
Why do people feel the need to not use the templates when they present their designs? The design guidelines are VERY SPECIFIC about how you ae supposed to use their templates.
I like the idea of a stitched threadless, but except for the little bit on the inside this is WAY too close to a Canadian crest. Make the crest a little more original and you've got a winner.
can we mate?
personally i don't think this is too close to the canadian crest, but that shouldn't really matter. what should matter is if this is a good design, if you'd buy and wear it. and i know i definitely would. so stop the bitchin. this shirt would be cool if printed and it would definitely be a deserving winner. x5
good stuff. x5 please print this. finally a good threadless based shirt.
I'm pretty sure that it'd get printed but I know that threadless won't embroider it.
it'd be mega awesome if they did tho,
tape recorder boom
im not going to write a paragraph of text..this is just great.
I love it so much. Nice inside jokes, but not too inside. I love the CliChe thing.
thanks for everyone's comments. especially ava adore.
no doubt about it, a perfect shirt x5. something everyone can buy.
probably the only deserving winner for the grand prize. x10
I likey the red the best.
yeah brown and green are better colors for this. awesome shirt kid z.
thanks to everyone that commented and voted. especially people from deviantart. big thanks.
nice, but... a bit cheap.
without a doubt, the clear winner.
Nice design but it seems kind of shameless. I am sure Threadless can find someone to design their promotional tees for them.
shameless? why would threadless find others to design their tees for them. that would defeat the whole purpose for promoting the threadless community site in the first place. this design is great, because it has succeeded where no other like it has. i would be very proud to wear this shirt if it gets printed. so please print it for everyone.
print dis..it's hot!
I don't think Canada will sue for likeness. Great shirt.
Nice work but why does it say EST 2000?
this is really cool shirt!!
look this is a great shirt, I'd wear it. But it's NOT a great concept people have been drawing crests like this for hundreds of years.. and by hand. Aside from this how many designers have been using crests in their work over the last two years or so... hmmm every other one including me.
just a great shirt no matter how you look at it. everyone may not agree with this but everyone would sure wear it if it gets printed. this would be a perfect winner.
yeah, this is a great shirt.
but, I agree with moogi.net.
Using crests is a turn-off for me.
