Looked at it up close on flickr - the detail and colour in the bird is lovely! I like the trees in the background as it gives it real depth.

@lawerence, It's a photo of a swamp tree that I silhouetted and made a deep gray, I put a yellow/blue radial gradient (sun light) on the layer below it, reduced the opacity of the tree layer to let the gradient come through a bit and then put a blue colored layer above the tree and gradient layer, reduced its opacity to let the tree and gradient layers come through to create a misty haze over the tree and sun. Hope that makes sense :p |

Ha-ha! Jeff! So wrong! I foolishly rushed a sub for the "Less Is More"comp, (no time for critiques, oh-no!), and scored a whopping 1.47. So, I have to say your great help and the help of others in critiques, on this one and "Party Animal" is what's makes the difference. Love the artist's help artists spirit here. *realizes comment sounds way corny, blushes, barfs, and gets over it. Cheers! |

Song bird looks way too bright (supposed to be moody) don't you think? I hope it's just the pics, maybe they used a flash when taking the pic. Strange too, that they didn't mention how it was printed as they usually do. Oh well, I'll see when I get one, shouldn't be complaining about a print right :P

ayearinreview on Sep 07 '09 I know what you mean. The colors for 'Hello In There' on the tee are brighter than the design, but it actually works better like that. Perhaps they did the same. I personally think 'Song Bird' looks rad regardless.
