About my design

by smartkat
Title: Yes, All Bears Do.

Five spot colour front print on Navy Tee.

Mixture of hand illustration and Photoshop image manipulation.

Soft gradients created by using a scattered diffusion dither dot rather then the traditional halftone dot (no moiré pattern problems either for the printer!)

Thanks, Smartkat

Haha this is hilarious lol. There's loads of fun in this design. I kinda wish I was the bear with the toilet roll lol. Great sub

hahaha, great joke and i like the soft colors and style of the lighting, like a film from the 70's. I think the joke might be funnier without the kid playing with the toilet paper in the background, but the sub is one solid piece of shit, and I mean that in a good way!

sorry, too much like the Charmin commercial, I don't think I'd wear it. Maybe bears doing something else, or just get rid of the toilet paper in the back. Your drawing is very nice.

I'm from New Zealand and I had no idea that there was a loo paper brand in the US that used cartoon bears to sell it's product - it's an unfortunate coincidence. Pooh.

it's still cute, smartkat. and I really enjoy the mixture of techniques. You should implement this again in another entry, because even if it doesn't place well due to the Charmin aspect, it's solid and well created.

I have to say that I can't believe my bear design has been my best received design so far. I thought my WindUp would have been better. But it's all good! Thanks people :-)

Yeah, I'm always kind of amazed that a national brand has for years based its advertising campaign on a rhetorical question that includes the word "shit." I would love to have been at that meeting when their ad firm proposed it.

But back to this design...it's really well done. Good stuff.
