I would like to see it have a more subtle fade into the background

better than the first one. but maybe you should take one contrast-colour and do some shapes with it.

I really don't think of Hansel and Gretel when i see two children in the middle of a city scene....i honestly think you're on to something in the concept and style of this re-telling of the classic fairy tale....you should contact American McGee and try to become the lead conceptual artist for a modern Hansel and Gretel game!

More subtle fade on bottom as it is on top and hansel and gretel maybe not, but simply the juxtapostion of the two in the middle of a frightening city alone is pretty cool. Make it pop out maybe play with a pink bow in the girls hair and blue tennis shoes on the boy, I think that may be cool... may look crappy. I will give you a five right now because i want to see where this will go.

thanks guys, have tried playing with colouring the kids clothes but still not happy with the result.....will keep playing with it and see if I can resolve the idea of adding colour. Frikinawesome... who are American Mcgee? I think I am complimented by your comment, confused but complimented!

you should fade out the print.. instead of having it be defined lines.

i agree with tanktown about making it pop. the design itself is beautiful, i absolutely cant get over it and would LOVE to have it as a print, but it feels like it needs a little something else..

definitely gorgeous, and i can very clearly see where the story fits in. this is great!

love the illustration it is amazing . to fade out the edges go to the layer , select command "A" (mac) or option "A" (pc) to select all then go to the tabs up top and click select, under select click modify and you will see the frame for feathering that is an easy approach. here is a link to other directions
