Your thumbnail reminds me of a piece I saw at the SF MOMA... it was three canvasses, painted white. The placard beside it read that the canvasses were to be repainted every so often to maintain their whiteness. This was, allegedly, art.
As for this, I like the textures and colors, but the shape just doesn't work. because we're looking at just shapes, it's hard to see anything but boxyness.
