This is my first serious attempt at creatiing anything using Illustrator.

I'd say lose the text. If you keep it, change the type face and make it relate to the illustration of the figure more directly. There isn't really a dialog between them right now.

I see how the text are too removed from the figure.
What if I use a thought bubble?

Should the figure have more detail?
To be honest, I used very little time making it.

I think a thought bubble would definitely unite the picture and text. You could do a little more detail on the figure, perhaps some lines to differentiate the arms from the rest of the body. Also, could you reduce the text down to "alone" ?

love it. maybe just understate the text a little more, so it doesn't overpower the image. but i love this XD so smart. thought bubble would be perfect. whatever you do, don't remove the text, it;s really funny!

love the concept, but not the design… mostly the type and placement.

Since everybody seem to dislike the font, any suggestions for a good font that would work?
