the layer that I am assuming is supposed to represent today should have a different background color - it looks like the top 'green' layer is just floating about it to me... otherwise good idea

It would be weird if this gets printed. Yes, it's good. But "Geology" T is pretty much the same. A piece of cake placed on a plate with a fork. And on top of everything the color of the T is brown.
