About my design

by pixohammer
Being Green is to consume less resources, and generate less waste, and the regenerative ability of Nature will take care of the rest. This can only happen we can reduce our appetite. We need to re-train our body and mind to not feel deprived when we eat less and use less. We need to learn Less is Good. We need to adapt to the idea that Less-than-Full is a better-Full.

People can eat however they want. Just throw your trash away

I don't think the image makes sense with the message, and the metaphor feels forced.

Your right about everything except the eating less part.

Each person needs an X number of food to survive. Not everyone over eats and if they do they're aware and it's usually something they want to change anyway.

That aside, this it poorly executed and like sncfrk said, the metaphor is force and doesn't make sense.

I think the ideas were there, but the design is poorly executed. With a little more work this could be really wonderful! I like the angle!

I like the concept, i like the illustration, i just don't like that it's in the green contest. would've been great on its own. i think the green metaphor is a stretch though. placement is solid too!

Thank you for all your feedback. My choice of metaphor and its execution are perhaps less than ideal, and below the Threadless-standard. But I hope you do not disagree with the message that it is trying to communicate. That is (and forgive me for being preachy), we, as a society, and as individuals, have insatiable appetite for resources. Many of us eat until we become grossly overweight, and promotes issue such as deforestation for cattle farm, and causing extinction of ocean species due to ovefishing. Many picked cars that are unnecessarily big and heavy, and consummed a lot of fuel. These all contribute to issues that we are now trying to solve by being "Green". So, "Green" to me means we need to reset our level of appetite for consumption, and give the Earth a chance to recoup.

It's not fair for you to ask people to eat less. But it is good to say we are consuming too much of our natural resources

I would like it w/o the metaphor
