I like the really smooth silhouette against the textured background. Very nice.

Is he meant to be laying on the ground? Something about him makes him look too 3D or something, the pose is of him in a pirouette, it just doesn't really look like he's flat against the ground.

yeah when i first saw this i thought he was standing up as well. i guess if you made it more clear it was a floor. if there was a wood floor pattern behind the guy it would seem more like he was lying dead on the floor. otherwise i think it just looks like a guy who got shot while he danced but was till on his feet. great idea and the execution is very good. thats the only thing i would change though.
