Black and white inks, nothing too fancy. Would look good on any color, and equally unisex.

Hi Aweb1492, yeah it's a 3d model. I recycled the buddha from an old design and added the afro and hair pic.

Actually, now that I think about it, everything I have submitted so far has been 3d, but all the others I end up exporting to Photoshop and Illustrator to give it a more vector look.

hey i have a question for you. i make my designs on 3ds max and have no way of controlling how many colors i use. is there something you do so that you can reduce the amount of colors used? thanks in advance.

yeah, when I want something to have an illustrated look and not a literal 3d render look, I render the image and port it into photoshop and clean it up a little bit, and then I add a stroke outline for definition and port that into illustrator and use the auto-trace feature where you can select the number of colors it uses. In most cases I only use between 3 and 6 colors with auto-trace, and then that gives it a nice comic-book look, and then I add some finishing touches in illustrator because auto-trace is usually far from perfect and leaves somethings to be desired for the final design. For this design I decided to just leave it looking 3d-ish, but I like the concept so I might remix it a bit and resubmit as a more illustrated vector image.
