I like the G hugging the tree but I have to say with the tons and tons of tree designs I see, it needs to be pushed further if you're going to use a tree. There is something quite nice about the simplicity however

FRICKINAWESOME on Apr 03 '09 I do really enjoy the G hugging the tree, but everything else, from the tree design to the font used to the overall effect of the design, doesn't do it for me.

maybe if you kept the g, but replaced the phrase with go green or something. hugging a tree, with a g hugging the tree...i agree with the above, its too simple.

i like the textures used for the tree's bark and leaves, but the font just... doesn't work, i think. i do like the idea of the g hugging the tree though, very cute. just seems like it needs something more in the background.

jpiatt on Apr 06 '09 it would be a good logo for some odd little non-profit neo-hippie environmental group called the Hug A Tree Today Foundation or something...
for this competition it's not working at all. It's so so so cliche and there's not much to like about it. The text is so boring and stale besides the g hugging the tree. The tree itself is also quite bland. Everything about it is just sooooo "safe" and has a corporate "in the box" feel to it. The message is ok, as cliche as it is....but, there's no way to emotionally connect to this design. It's just so cold |

I agree with stubborn...font doesn't work well. It's too clean cut for the sketchbook style tree. Work on the font more...but I do like the concept and the g around the tree.
