Maybe consider changing the "think" to look like the foliage and "green" to look like the wood so that it looks like the trunks and brances of trees? Does that make sense?

This design is great, and well executed. I probably wouldn't wear this, I would however buy this for my newborn, it is perfectly on target for that demographic IMO. I love your Illustrations Recyledwax.
