About my design

by Atrayne
Gaia- the hypothesis of viewing the earth as a single organism.

The man is cutting down the tree and simultaneously cutting himself.

Ugh, everytime I see a tree design on threadless, I feel awkward for the person who made it...I really do...and then when they put "Green" in it as well...I dunno how to describe it...it's not a good feeling...lol

I really wish that you could see his leg better because I couldn't really tell what was going on until I read your description, but other than that I love it

I've come to the conclusion that I agree with nothing "cookingwithcrayons" has to type.....

only two changes I would love to see: remove the word "GREEN" (it's self-explanatory) and blow that image UP!

i don't mind the type personally. but i appreciate the input. what i wonder about on this site is multiple logins for the same person and your account started a couple days after cookingwithcrayons. it's seems odd you would find a need to stick up for him.

even if you don't share a brain with him i think threadless needs to have some security in this manner especially when they are paying out monetarily. But i suppose that's for the blog area

I really love the image, but I agree that the "green" is just sort of blatant and a bit awkward in an otherwise beautiful symbolic piece.

The texture of the roots and bark are gorgeous and I'd love to see it in a larger version if you can post one online somewhere for details' sake.

I will score it as if it didn't say "green", having voiced my opinion on the subject.

I do agree that you shouldn't be afraid to make it bigger. I came back to this one because I love it so. if it doesn't get printed as is, you should make the cuts in both the tree and his leg bigger to get the message across better.

and I know you don't mind the type, but I think the thing is that as soon as someone looks at it, their eyes go to that to read it, and it takes away from the gorgeous detail and message of the rest. and maybe that is why i think the cuts should be bigger in the first place, so maybe without the word it would be perfect. take this as very constructive criticism. i already gave you a $5!!

I have to say I disagree with most, and think that perhaps someone should stop cooking with crayons, but if you're going to continue, make sure the box reads "Non-Toxic", cause you clearly missed the point entirely. I saw this pic several times prior to finding this site and have to honestly say that the word "Green" is the last thing I saw as subtle as I believe it is if you are truly taking in the piece. In fact I didn't see it until after reading the posts suggesting it be removed.

Perhaps if you knew anything about the artist you could be rest assured that vision is clearly not obstructed...

Nice work!

Yeah I'm a noob, but I felt inclined enough to say my piece.

wow, the commenter you agreed with insulted me, not just my design and that made me hot, that's not cool and i was quite offended myself. I shouldn't have associated the security question with you, that wasn't fair and for that i apologize.

I don't know these names you accuse me of but se la vie

I sent a thread to my facebook group with my designs since i'm new on here and a couple of them must have responded, hopefully they'll stay and take a look around the site and check out everyone's work
