I agree with not showing the boobs. The illo is really nice, but I doubt I'd wear it w/ the boobs showing.

I would have no problem wearing a shirt that had a woman with boobs showing, as so many have complained. If I've supported The Kraken Feeds on Virgins and would wear that in a heartbeat, I'd support something far less exposed such as this.
That being said, I think there are some parts that need some work. To start, the mermaid's arms look really stiff and her hands, too petit. I have smaller hands and if I place the palm to my chin, my longest finger can reach right between my eyebrows. Her closer hand looks like it would barely reach the bridge of her nose. As for the arms, her back arm (closest to the actual octopus) is off. If you follow the line of her shoulder, that arm should hang closer to her butt/tail area than way out where you have it now. It looks horribly broken otherwise. The other thing is that her body looks incredibly flat compared to all the work you put into her tail, hair and the octopus. She could use something a little more, be it shadowing or line work. And, she's missing her ear. I want to like it. I really do... and I think with a few tweaks, it would be great. Right now, it just falls short for me. |

Love everything about it. Wouldn't change a thing. 5$
The arms are perfect. Just like this or any number of other classic movie scenes. |

I think their posts come off as defensive, not rude. I appreciate the defense, and I also appreciate the critique even if I may not agree with it 100%
thanks for the votes and comments. |

I like the concept... instead of a woman being rescued from the water / a sea creature, the mermaid is being rescued into the depths by a sea creature.
