I like the concept a lot and you did a great job with the bird, but I think that decorative elements should not be as flat as they are. It does contrast the focus, but it would look much more unified if the swirls had some depth. 4

I think the orations could use a little more detail. They seem to be too simple compared to the nicely rendered phoenix.
