its not self promotion, its a design that was made and then a website evolved from the idea. the design existed before, and t-shirts were homemade. there's a small subculture behind this.



for the guy who thought it said "sehctits", ill clarify now that its "stitches." as the note right above this box says, if youre going to criticize be constructive and respectful.

as far as the "subculture," that would be scary if this design really had a whole subculture attached to it. you'd go to a coffeeshop in the next state over wearing this shirt, and they'd be all like, "no charge for you, sir"

wow, i really didn't want to explain the whole "sehctits" thing, but i'd like to think that somewhere, someone is punching stuff just to find out what kind of imprint it'll make on their knuckles. if there's a whole subculture to, maybe there's a bunch of people doing it. probably a lot of bloody knuckles that say "gnatsum" right now.

probably a lot more that say, "retsehc"

this is one lame art snob community. I am very dissappointed. I like the idea of this site, most of the designs, and even the price schemes, but this is just sad. seriously, give up. constructive criticizm, a few design ideas, and leave it at that. even with the less talented prints, at least people trying their idea, where as a majority of the comment snobs on the site have no submissions.

how, exactly, is it snobbish to do something that anyone with a keyboard can do?

since the word stitches is sewn onto the knuckles, its obviously not supposed to be an imprint from punching anything.

why would you post something and not expect criticizm?

jesha, are you implying that the stitches are not there to seal up a wound that happens to be in the shape of the word stitches? a wound that could only be self inflicted or caused by punching something that had a raised surface that said "sehctits", so the reversed image on the knuckles spelled the word stitiches? and this offshoot of the "cutters" subculture actually exists in large enough number tho think that there's a maket for this shirt? i guess things aren't as obvious as one may think.

as for design critique, the word stitiches is difficult to read, the hands are choppy and lack detail and realism, and contrary to popular belief, the concept IS part of the design, so to say the idea doesn't really make sense, is in fact saying something about the overall design.

i actually like it, but yeah, it does look like "sehctits".
