I like how the bigger letters look like negative space drippings.

Oh this is great! Sick and twisted n sad. Makes me glad of my 5th grade report on Mary Todd.

I want to buy this. It is not offering me an option to add to my shopping cart.

haha amazing choice of historical character. right up there with Eleanor Roosevelt. I really really like the font you used for each line of text; the negative "dirty girl on the playground" is a great contrast. nice work!

Can you do one with her whipping Abe in a leather Speedo?

Cool. I think if you just had "Mary Todd Lincoln" it could have let the image say more.

@kidcharlemagne: 1) dan fan here; love your username; 2) heh. probably won't offer that one up, but i do appreciate the brief suggestion.

@eelydave: thanks for the input. there is a story behind the drawing, and the truth is that this image never would have come to be were it not for the "dirty girl on the playground" descriptor being tied to MTL.

@rafsyavector: many thanks, grateful for that.

This would be even better with some pops of white ink.

would be a fool's errand to hope that either of my first two subs would earn a print run. many thanks to all who voted (or who may yet, with 1 day left); am very grateful for the comments, too. rather than slink away, i'll instead let the impressively high level of talent 'round these parts to inspire me aim for stronger work. peace, d.
