This was an idea that my wife and I were kicking around and I thought it would be fun to illustrate.
The final you see here is the result of nearly 10 revisions, thanks to the critiques and feedback of the great members here on Threadless. the final really wouldn't be what it is without your input. Printed 7 colors on Heather Grey. Thanks for looking. |

I think most of my love for this comes from the pose of the shanker, as if to say "I was the one who shanked him, and here I am!"

FRICKINAWESOME on Mar 04 '09 hahahahaha! One of the strangest visual puns i've ever seen on Threadless, and actually not badly done. I like how the shanked lamb is a blood waterfall on the ground and how there's a guard on the water tower who is just watching the killing parade!

I agree that puns have been done to death lately, but I just couldn't let this one go. Who doesn't love a soft, cuddly, murderous lamb? :D |

I like that you used the right term. People confuse "shiv" (noun) and "shank" (verb) all the time.

Lamb Shanks is a cut of Lamb that you can order in a restaurant. Our vic here has just been "shanked" by another lamb. Lamb Shanks. Get it? :D

lamb shanks...hahaha. i like it but I don't think it needs image in the faded background. the illustration is cool enough to stand alone.

that's actually how the concept started, just the figures in the foreground. However, during the course of the critique process the background was added. You can check out V1 of the design and see, I think it's so much more dynamic with the background.

Well done and gruesome too. One small suggestion: Put a hint of prison stripes on the lambs in the background. Maybe just let the tee color show in stripes. |

I loved this so much at first as a nwb I thought it was a t-shirt and I wanted to buy it. I was confused and then I couldn't find it again. boo! Found it today love it and hope that it becomes a shirt!!
