hmmmm... what i think everyone, including the designer, needs to take into consideration is that the red won't wrap around the t-shirt (i don't think) if it's part of the print rather than part of the shirt.
however, it really seems like it ought to: my eye sees a dark foreground on a red background; thus, i think it would be bothered should the red end prematurely halfway around the shirt.
a seemingly simple solution would be to print the darker part of the design and the orange clouds on a red colored shirt. by that method, it would be the dark part of the design that would end halfway around the shirt--which, based on prior experience, tends to look fine.
at the same time, as a photoshop user, i understand that a seemingly simple solution is not always a simple solution at all: getting rid of all that red while still leaving the detail around the orange clouds and within the flying machines may well be a bitch. on the other hand, a feathered selection around the clouds, leaving a gradient of red print around them, may present an amicable solution so long as the red ink color is compatible with the red shirt color.
then, of course, there is also the practical issue of which color--red or dark--would leave the design looking its best if and when it fades.
i wouldn't be taking the time to voice this concern, though, if i didn't think this was an awesome design which i'd LOVE to wear! 5$

@ ph03n1x
I think this would work fine as 2 belt prints. yeah, the clouds wouldn't be in the same spot each time, but it would still have the same general look.
