well, while i'm not a fan of limp dillznik, i wouldn't mind getting a paid job illustrating something for them. so, thanks.

btw-about the 'we love coffee' thing:
if you don't know, you better ask somebody.
icmedia
icmedia on May 06 '04
and, the coffee statement is not on the shirt, just on the preview (in case you couldn't tell by looking at the t-shirt itself)

yeah i'd buy this, for a 6 yr old boy if i was on a budget.
icmedia
icmedia on May 07 '04
ok, so i can sell this to limp dickless fans and 6-year olds. this is good; that's a decent size target market.

so, is it the subject matter that sucks, or the illustration itself? just curious.

I agree, total limp-BizKit rip off! LAME!
ChesterCopperpot
ChesterCopperpot on May 07 '04
embarassing.... why would you even do anything remotely close to limp bizkit design? icmedia should give up
icmedia
icmedia on May 07 '04
for real...is there a limp bisquick design like this? i've never seen any of their album art, seeing as i think they're one of the most overrated groups around (not to mention the fact that i haven't bought ANY cds for years). i drew this a few years back for a friend's band, but they never used it for anything...so, i scanned it in and submitted it. i'll poke around and see what i can find for myself, but if any of you have a link so i can see what you're talking about i'd appreciate it.

and, btw-the head on the left is representative of the bassist of that band, the head on the right was modeled after their lead singer. they were the only original members of the band left after about 6 drummers and 4 guitarists, so i parodied that situation in this drawing.

I wasn't really saying that you actually stole one of there illustraions, but that it looks like something they would do.
and yes it does look like supermarket kids clothes. sry
icmedia
icmedia on May 08 '04
right on. i guess my style of illustration' credibility got torpedoed when they hired a designer with a similar style. shitty how that works, huh? that's ok; i RARELY use my own drawings for anything.
wishbone
wishbone on May 08 '04
I rarely use my own either.

look the folks that are harassing this shirt, i bet you couldnt draw anything any better. You have to admit its a nice illustration.

execution great, idea not.

ive seen this in too many people's crappy sketches that they throw away. this isnt anything new. there is no design here.

"btw-about the 'we love coffee' thing:

lame.

This style of illustration is reserved for middleschoolers of the early '90s and/or limp bizkit fans.

yes, i am a lame-ass. so what? i pride myself on it.

i'm not sure what you're trying to say, chester...does that mean you don't like it, or what?

ehh... why would you put that damn coffee phrase on the "detail", but not on the actual shrit design. confusing, and very not smart.

slaterock===

what don't you get? you can see it's not on the shirt, so what's to get confused about? i put that on many of my submissions. partly because it has a meaning for me, partly because it seems to piss so many people off. i mean, it's funny to see how many people comment negatively about something that has nothing to do with the shirt itself.

method_one===

and fine bitches, at that!

icmedia: though I frankly don't care for your shirt design, I admire your words of rebuttle to the twats that can't do anything better but comment fiercely (with empty heads). Funny how most of them don't have a user profile.
maachis
maachis on May 12 '04
if u add the slogan , " two heads are better than one" , i think it will rock ...
and to the ppl flaming - u better start working at dante's inferno, feeding coal to the burners.
seriously its become quite fashionable to comment fiercely here at threadless, which is quite opposite to what i have seen at other communities.

that's classic...in insulting my design, you not only misspelled the only word in your comment, but that word was 'retarded.' when i read that i almost spit iced mocha all over my monitor.
