the UV ink is suposed to only be light colors, because they're translucent... so the black parts of the transformation wouldn't be possible.

I might be in the minority but the outside version kills it for me. It doesn't need to be tricked out the dog face alone is enough for me.

yeah i like your idea here. as stated above, you have major problems with the UV. i also like how the sleeves are the ears! and instead of selecting the sleeves and inverting the selection, just select them and go to hue/saturation and lower the hue to make it look more black.
