i've never seen asnyone actually spell 'oldschool' as one word correctly. it's always either 'oldskool' or 'old school.' props for that, even if i can't figure out why you used those lines on popeye's silhouette.

honestly, i didn't notice it was popeye until i read the comment. it think the lines threw me off. why are they there?

Yeah, it seems almost all of the designs I submitted this round so far have recieved somewhat negative and sarcastic reviews rather than anything constructive I can improve my art with. Goes to show that any website with open votes and public critique will get the good and the ugly. But that's all good. I'll just have to try harder with my next submissions.



Deadypuppy - the silhouette of popeye has drips running through it. I should have made the drips larger ...a couple people have mistaken them for lines or nails already.. Although drips are somewhat used in urban design, I thought they would add some appeal to this one. Thx for the feedback.

maybe you didn't read my post; i was pointing out that the lines seem to have no purpose. even if they are drips, they still aren't relevant to the piece.



that is what you call constructive criticism. don't expect people to just tell you what you need to do; figure that out from what they are saying about the design.

dont get down on yurself man. some of your stuf was good, just dont submit everything you do. you should be your own harshest critic... be more selective
