I don't get it. ^^; I realise it's suposed to be like Mt. Rushmore, but who are these guys?

Vladimir Lenin, Mao Tse Tung, Karl Marx and Joseph Stalin.

Honestly when I saw the title and the top half of the image (all I could see was Lenin's bare forehead and Mao's hair and eyes) I was expecting the reference to be to comedy, and thought Mao was Larry from the Stooges :P

Interesting, if you don't know these guys then you're not from this planet!

... Its OK, but it could use a little more work. Appearantly, I'm not from this planet, because I have no Idea who those guys are. maybe if you used a different method so it is more appearant, it might help you out with this design in particular.

Not really into taking American monuments and making them Communist. 0

Communist party was better, as history references go. I think it could've been more uniquely subversive. Also, WHATABOUTENGELS PEOPLE?!

It is a bit of an insult to Karl Marx to put him with those who perversed his ideas to give themselves power, but it is still amusing and clever so well done.

I thought the bearded dude was Charles Manson.

I agree about contrasting the four guys. It would be hard to make out who they were if you weren't concentrating on the shirt.

Shouldn't this be Totalitaricia and not commerica. since communism refers to an economic system and not a form of government that these people represent. Except Marks. I understand that they lead nations under the guise of communism but they were totalitarians and not really for communial communist living that would reject the notion of supply and demand economics to remove people from poverty. However FA brings up a good point if that was Charles Manson he might have quite a bit in common with the others on the shirt.

Sorry about the lesson that dispells the myth that communism is a form of government as opposed to an economic system (which it is)

so in conclusion to a very long post

Long live communial living, Down with poverty, totalitarianism sucks!

to rhodescholar:

communica still makes sense, as all these men believed in the communist structured economy. just because three out of the four of them were totalitarianist rulers, doesn't make the reference incorrect. We're not called Republica even though our form of gov't is a Republic. So no, the name should not be changed

(Ps- It's Marx, not Marks.)

And in reference to this design being Anti-American, WHOGIVESACRAP? there's a lot of stuff wrong with capitalism. and it's just a tee shirt. You see Che Guevara shirts everywhere, and Threadless already had a reference to communism printed on a shirt.

the end.

I did mention that these men ruled their countries under the guise of communism, non of which had an EVEN distribution of wealth. So my criticism was to the people he had representing Communism. If the tables were turned and we were going to call something Capitalist we would not put Obama, Brown, and Sarkozy and slap on John Maynard Keynes to show something was capitalist. I own the Communist party shirt and think it is funny not because of the flaws that I am pointing out here but the picture it paints of these hard nosed totalitarian rulers hanging out at a house party with solo cups and MarX with a lamp shade on his head. I personally think the biggest reason communism gets as bad of a wrap is because of the people that are chosen to represent it, and the people on this shirt other than MarX are probably not the people who represent it the best.
