If you read it left to right, it looks like it says 'Never bite that the feeds you hand'.
Good concept though, and now you've got 'The Hand That Feeds' by Nine Inch Nails in my head :/ |

Thanks everybody, I wasn't exactly going for readability with this particular design. The focus was more on making the words into the design and letting the viewer "find" the saying.
Unfortunately I found out about the type contest too late to be able to submit the design for critique first. |

I would like this better if the hand were at an angle somehow, across the heart or something, so it's not so rigid.

morgantown: I tried the across the heart placement but it felt a little too "pledge of allegiance" to me. Any time I try to get a little frisky with my wife she always puts her had square in my chest and pushes me away so I went with that. :D
InvincibleAgent: as far as not being able to read it, the goal of the contest was to have the type become the design, readability was not the ultimate focus for me. |

I was able to read it only because "ever" is clear enough to get me started. Otherwise, it might be too complicated. However, ambiguity is not always a bad thing. My only question is what is the thumb?

About my design
That was my goal with this, my first submission to Threadless. I tried to keep things a bit simple, no overly complicated details or production processes,just a simple sand colored shirt and a one color design.
The copy reads "Never bite the hand that feeds you."
