I'm a little bit bothered that the boy's shadow is falling towards the viewer while the spiner's shadow is falling away from us. |

The pinwheels aren't casting a shadow. The shadow on the right, behind the pinwheel, is the shadow of the boys sword, and the one on the left, is of his horsey.
