A soft edge infact can be produced using halftones on a relatively high meshcount screen. Though threadless submission requirements specifically ask to avoid this.

"Design must have 4 or less unique colors, no gradients, no photographs, no tiny halftones."

Where I work we can print up to 7 colors. Process prints (CMYK) are also possible, though some screen print shops cant. which means we can do photos, halftones and gradients as well.

Personally I like the 4 color restriction as it forces you to be more creative in the way you execute the design.

too much discussion of techincal details considering the design itself.

i don't care for this at all.

this blows chunks, the cheap shadow effect is an uncreative attempt to make an uninteresting doodle pop. Why not just apply the John Cage theory that if you repeat an uninteresting (musical) note or object/design enough times that it will eventually become interesting.

if this had any potential, i would tell you to get rid of the cut off box figure beneath the legs. Then i would tell you to finish off the guys feet. Because you really make it look restricted in a box when you have the top of a square cut off at the bottom.

yeah the drop shadow is nasty. think of the tshirt as being a backdrop, is it possible for a shadow to be brighter against a black object?
