The submarine is made up of letters only - along with the bubbles, it reads "UNDERWATER SUB!!" (exclamation marks are in the portholes).

Go into deeper waters (turn off the lights) and the submarine may become a submarine sandwich. The windows spell "MEAL".

Four colours, including glow ink (lemon superglow is preferred). Besides Ocean (Kelly) Green, the design also works well on Royal Blue and Turquoise, but if a lighter coloured shirt is required for glowing, denim blue could be used.

Wrap-around!

Not sure if your placement is achievable, but the little sub is dead cute!

Thanks everyone for the early love!

@Krakaboom - There's also the issue of glowing ink on relatively dark shirt. I really didn't know if it would make it through. But since it's been approved, doesn't that mean it should be printable? I'm relatively new to Threadless, so I don't know.

This could actually come out pretty nice if it works out like I think you intend. Maybe just a smidge smaller, so the fish is smaller and the sub has a bit more of itself on the front of the shirt?

Great use of the darkness effects thingy. This is really funny.

Awesome! I'd love to own this shirt- I'd be the hit of the party. And for all of you single guys and gals, this design would be a great excuse to get that special someone to sneak into a dark, romantic closet with you... $5

I had some trouble reading it.....

Thanks for the continued votes and comments!

@Adder - I tried to size it as large as possible while still conveying my (wrap-around) intent and making a reasonable guess as to what Threadless could do. Ultimately it would be up to Threadless - if they need it smaller, more power. :)

@Hew91 - Yeah, this design isn't meant to be easily read at first glance. Some of the letters are rotated and they're jumbled about (although still roughly in top-to-bottom and left-to-right order). My goal was to create an image using letters in a non-linear fashion.

@EdamameObake - A way to make the design bigger and/or keeping the sub on the front of the shirt is to move the sub and the fish closer together. The beams would have to be resized horizontally, but it would still work - in fact, my original design had them much farther from each other, such that placement just didn't work. I compressed the beam and moved the two closer together, and it looked fine. :)

Mmm... not many votes, not many comments and an average score. Not too bad, I guess.

Though not too good either? XP

Thanks to those who voted and commented!

eH,

Votes & comments have been major-low lately. I mean, when I look at subs from even a year back, many have three times as many votes as this, and even more recently twice as many was the norm. Lately, tho, it's been under 1000... 700s seem to be about the average now.

as for the score, it is true that 3s are getting more and more viable, but I still subscribe to the old Threadless lore that 2.5 and above is the solid-score range.

Ah, wasn't aware of that. Thanks Adder! But I have noticed that most (though not all) designs that Threadless prints usually have many comments on them. Fingers crossed anyway then. :)
