a bit too religious for me, but i enjoy the sadness that the happy tree friends are having without their beloved trees! Nice characters and somber colors.

Too religious for me as well^ too many crosses. The idea can be carried across, just with the sad expressions of the animals

i don't think that cross refers necessarily to christianism or religions. if you study cross's origin and its history you'll find a lot of story, forms and meanings for it. it's here only to represent the tree's [symbol of mother nature] death and wouldn't get any other ideas like 'too religious' or something like that... it's the same you say swastika refers only to nazism.



well, it's global site i know, but we're living in a american continent, in cemetery usually you'll find what if not crosses galore?



for those said they have no nose i think you have to abstract a bit, so it'll be implied that the noses are in their right place and the animals can smell. have you ever seen cartoons? i suggest, you'll find a lot of characters "without nose" ;)

people, i know it's a sad thing but it's a criticism to deforestation and ambiental damages. animals can't lose places to live. =(

crosses do tend to refer to christianity, wether you like it or not. The swaztika, though originally a sign for peace, would not get a standing ovation either because most people, not matter which way it was turned, would assume it was refering to nazis. I mean, do you think a star of david would be okay? Then why a cross. I have nothing against religion...I just don't think this is a place for it.
