I'm out of the loop or something, how does CMYK/XPPC = LOVE/PAIN?
vektor
vektor on Apr 20 '04
Isn't it LOVE/HATE that people get tattooed on their fingers like that? Either way I am also confused as to how the two are related?
icmedia
icmedia on Apr 20 '04
anybody who knows what cmyk means? how about xppc? anyone? maybe it's like a vanity license plate and it's meant to be sounded out or something.... see him waikiki? ex peepee see? damn...those don't make sense.
icmedia
icmedia on Apr 20 '04
but, if those letters did make sense, i'd bet they'd work even if the title were love/hate instead of love/pain.

cmyk are colors.....
DeathCookie
DeathCookie on Apr 20 '04
where'd the letters come from? i dont think anyone would understand.
kittyfantastico
kittyfantastico on Apr 20 '04
CMYK = Cyan, Majenta, Yellow and blacK and is how colours are made up in four colour process - I thought people on this site would know what that means...

I got it - and I LOVE it

mikeschmitt
mikeschmitt on Apr 21 '04
what the fuck is xppc, i know what cmyk means everyone knows that
eskimokiss
   eskimokiss on Apr 21 '04
I think for a shirt that has cmyk written on it it's pretty colourless.
Why not work any or all of those colours in? And I too am ignorant as to what XPPC is.
GregTheRad
GregTheRad on Apr 21 '04
The creator doesn't even get it? Man this is bad.
trhaynes
trhaynes on Apr 21 '04
I really like it, but XPPC doesnt mean anything to me ... nor to the acronym finder, apparently (http://www.acronymfinder.com/af-query.asp?String=exact&Acronym=xppc). Oh well.
icmedia
icmedia on Apr 21 '04
That's right...not even I know what an XP PC is.
icmedia
icmedia on Apr 21 '04
but if you enter xp pc into google, apparently there are about 8,280,000 sites that can help explain it for you.
camouflageblood
camouflageblood on Apr 21 '04
cmyk is common language in design circles
but I've never heard someone call a PC with
XP an "XPPC"
nothingiscute
nothingiscute on Apr 21 '04
this is so dissappointing if xppc means diddly squat...
cause the idea of having cmyk tattooed on your fingers is one i applaud.

if you rework this and put something meaningful on the other hand, and
you'll have this nerd's vote.
Peeping Tom
Peeping Tom on Apr 21 '04
Why not, erm....CMYK RGB?
icmedia
icmedia on Apr 21 '04
"xppc means diddly squat"

i'm glad you agree. that's the point i'm making here.

not good, and you didn't use the template.

use
the
template
k
thx
bye.
icmedia
icmedia on Apr 21 '04
i did use the template. i just added a vector t-shirt image over the existing one because i hated the jagged lines on the sleeves of the original. besides-it's not like i'm ever going to win this anyways, so who cares?
cloudwalking
cloudwalking on Apr 21 '04
I get it and i still think it's stupid.
icmedia
icmedia on Apr 21 '04
cloudwalking, you rock. you're starting to scratch the surface of what i'm saying both in my comments and through the last few designs.

one8_2zeros on Apr 23 '04
love it. would buy it just cuz it says cmyk

me personally? PowerMac G4 running Panther at work and PowerMac G4 running Jaguar at home.. and cmyk all the way around. :P

what about trying
CMYK LOVE...
icmedia
icmedia on Apr 24 '04
because prisoners get love/pain or love/hate tattooed on their fingers, so if love is on there cmyk would mean pain or hate.

IanPatrick on Apr 25 '04
XPPC = eXtra Pocket PC Yeah did I get it? Do I win a prize? "XPPC user interface for your pocket personal computer, new richer interface, like true windows" any the desighn blows.
anistrophic
anistrophic on Apr 25 '04
sadly, even the artist knows his design blows..... WHY POST IT THEN?!?!?
icmedia
icmedia on Apr 25 '04
because all of my design blows. should that keep me from participating? i've seen worse on here, plus my posting shitty designs props up those who can truly create t-shirt worthy artwork.

not to mention that some of the tees they have printed blow, as well.
hedsteve
hedsteve on Apr 26 '04
is XP PC like a windows XP Personal Computer?

maybe the something related but diffrent like SRBG would make more sense... as in print and screen....
sid
sid on Apr 26 '04
too clever dude, would have just left it with love love
anistrophic
anistrophic on Apr 26 '04
obviously if a design gets printed, not everyone shares your opinion that it blows... however when it comes to your own designs.........
icmedia
icmedia on Apr 26 '04
anistrophic:

yes; i do believe i already pointed out that my design blows. your point? btw-your submission got a 1.9, so don't act like you're the god of fuck.

I don't like this design at all, but I give you props for making me and all these other people think enough to write 30-some comments about your shirt...isn't art about invoking thought and emotion?
